With our current understanding of modern science, we as humans are able to make an overarching observation that we are connected with the universe. Our individual cells could end up in a plant on the other side of the planet. Our minds end up in imaginative worlds that don’t exist. The fluidity of the building blocks that make up our bodies and minds is undeniable. It’s time to put that aside and be one with the world. Science backs it, so should we.

Be one with the universe and your path will clear. Wu wei.

In times past, our ancestors’ primary form of exercise would have been hunting prey and foraging for fruits. Our bodies have adapted to such forms of exertion, which means the exercises we currently undertake are unnatural. In order to maximise the productivity of the machines that we call our bodies, we must refer back to these times and constantly mix up the type and volume of exercise we undertake.

Flexibility and adaptability are key.

I had a detox today, a dopamine detox. I avoided (almost) all forms of pleasure unrelated to work or projects I am currently undertaking. I also limited social media use to posting for my business accounts rather than browsing my home feeds. I spent a portion of time on messaging apps but the majority was related to tasks that I am working on. Such use of time means I live days and hence life, by design.

A dopamine detox is a reset button for the brain; it hands back control of your brain. Use it.

Influencer marketing is taking over the marketplace at the moment. The depth of connection that influencers are able to create with their audience is something that cannot be replicated. Brands that are able to effectively access these communities can create impressions that are on a much deeper level than traditional ads.

Authenticity is the future of social media, and hence, marketing.

Many people who sleep late can be observed to be procrastinating sleep in order to regain a sense of control lacking in their daily lives. This is a tough pill to swallow but is often true nonetheless. If this occurs to us, we must find a way to break the cycle as it can become a never-ending loop.

Focus on the morning hours and what can be done to maximise their potential. Start your day off on the right foot and set the tone for the rest of the day.

You may have heard of Moore’s Law. This is the rule that has applied to the doubling of transistors on computer microchips every two years or so. The technicals aren’t the highlight here, merely the observation of such compounding growth. This type of growth can also apply to us. Let me explain.

To make minor improvements in your life every single day is infinitely more valuable than making a momentous effort say… once per week. If we are able to make a 1% improvement every single day for 70 days, you will be at double where you were originally. If we are able to look at life through this lens, it is easier to see life as a marathon rather than a sprint.

Focus on the next step and make incremental improvements.

Everybody’s time is theirs to own. Experiment with it and figure out what works best for you. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

Design your day, week, month, year and hence, your life.

In times of crisis, opportunities to make money are abundant. Distressed businesses and properties are more prevalent as many people who have been living beyond their means suffer the consequences. Learn from others’ mistakes and always stay vigilant, even in times of prosperity.

Only then, will you get the opportunity to buy low sell high.

To master this chemical is to become an alchemist. A master of dopamine is able to delay gratification and transmute energy in order to fulfil their life’s purpose. If one is aware of this fact, their options become infinite.

Become the master.

Sometimes it is impossible to cut corners. Walking the easy path can often result in worse results than if more time and effort was put in.

Follow through and do things the right way.
