A Confucianist acknowledges our in-born natural states, but sees humans as diamonds in the rough; agents of great potential. Confucius states that enhancing and perfecting how we act and how we relate to each-other can bring about tremendous change; on both personal and communal levels.
What we think we are is always changing. This means we are extremely malleable, which means we can use self-cultivation to turn ourselves into better people.
